Dr. Annette Kohl, DACM, MSOM, L.Ac.
Dr. Annette Kohl’s career in the healing arts began as a massage practitioner. During six years of practice, she developed a sensitive and intuitive approach to healing. Studying Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine was her next step. Acupuncture seemed both very simple and quite complex – treating many health issues by inserting fine needles along the meridian flows of the body. She has also received training in Herbal Medicine, Cupping, Gua Sha, Acupressure, Qi Gong, and Nutrition – all parts of the East Asian Medical Tradition.
She holds an MSOM Degree from AIMC Berkeley, a DACM degree from ACTCM in San Francisco, where she received training in advanced treatment and research within an Integrative Medicine context. She has also earned a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Humanities from Johns Hopkins University and an MFA in Creative Writing from California Institute of the Arts. She is drawn to both the Art and the Science of healing practices.
Dr. Annette Kohl is a general practitioner addressing pain management, digestive issues, neurological issues, internal medicine, cancer support, women’s and men’s health, as well as mental health. For two years, she has worked at a residential rehabilitation facility for mental health and addiction and has had success in treating anxiety, depression, PTSD, insomnia, and other issues.
She looks forward to working with you on your healing journey.
